He is best known for his multi-award-winning debut short film, Project X Marks the Spot is the project that earned him widespread recognition across several Los Angeles film festivals in 2018. This film earned Micl Snr, the Hollywood New Directors Honorable Mention Award and the African American Award of Merit, later becoming a finalist at the Burbank International Film Festival the same year. Since then, Micl Snr has continued to create a body of work that reflects his commitment to bold storytelling and visual excellence, earning multiple awards and international acclaim. That partnership opened doors to industry icons such as Dionne Warwick, Jermaine Jackson, Ne-Yo, and Nelly, inspiring mentorships that shaped his creative evolution. Micl’s musical journey also includes living and working with the late Joe Jackson, father of Michael Jackson, whose wisdom and guidance deeply influenced his artistic discipline.
